Welcome to Gunton Woodland Burial Park

We are the first environmentally friendly Woodland Burial Park to be opened in the Waveney and Great Yarmouth area.

The popularity of woodland burials has grown considerably since the first natural burial park was opened in 1993. There are now over 250 natural burial parks in the United Kingdom and the number continues to grow as more and more people choose to be buried in an environmentally friendly way.

We are also one of the first natural burial parks in the country to be run as a non-profitmaking charity and we will be donating our surplus funds to local good causes once we have paid off our start-up loans.

We use the term woodland burial to describe a burial which results in the creation of a new habitat for wildlife and at the same time minimises the environmental impact of the processes used.

The demand for this form of burial continues to grow as more and more people are now becoming aware that it is now possible to be buried closer to nature.

If you are one of the many people who feel they have a connection to the countryside and enjoy being close to woodlands and wildlife you may choose a natural setting rather than a traditional cemetery.

At Gunton Woodland Burial Park we can offer you a full range of options backed up by the professional services needed to ensure that you or your loved one will be laid to rest in a way that offers the respect you deserve whilst protecting the environment.
